Club Nights:

Run every Wednesday from 8pm throughout the Autumn, Winter and Spring and through most of the Summer around the League Matches.  You do not need to bring a partner as you will be given a partner on arrival.  If you and your partner win a game, you move on to the next court and split up.  If you and our partner lose, you stay on the same court and split up and winners from another court will join you. This is an excellent night for all standards and fantastic for meeting up with other members.  Highly recommended for new members.

American Tournaments:

This is a fun club tournament run once in a while by the committee open to all members and their friends who arrive on the day.  Very social tennis.

Mount Argus:

Internal doubles tournament with a draw for a partner.  There is no handicap and the matches consist of 13 games.  Scores are marked on a sheet.  The team with the highest number of points after all matches are played are the winners.  There is an entry fee for this tournament and there is also a prize for the winners.  Entry forms will be available before this competition begins.  This tournament usually takes place in early November.

Turkey Tournament:

This is run on the four consecutive Wednesday nights before Christmas.  It is a doubles tournament for all members who arrive on the night.  The prize for the winners each night is a Turkey!!  There is an entry fee for this tournament to finance the prizes.  These are usually enjoyable nights with mulled wine or nice hot tea and mince pies.  The matches are somewhat competitive because of the geneous prizes.

Round Robin Format:

Each doubles partnership play all other doubles partners and the couple with the most points are the winners.  If there is a draw - play goes to semi finals and finals.  You stay with your partner throughout the competition.
